The Reiki Level 1 certificate class that I ran on Sunday was an amazing success! It was so much fun talking to the group about the history of Reiki and what it's all about. The group has great questions and were really excited. I think the best part for me was watching their faces after their Attunement to the Reiki energy. They were looking at their hands in amazement when they could actually feel the energy emanating from them. It was great!
Each person had the opportunity to receive a Reiki treatment as well as give one. It was interesting to hear what both the giver and receiver were feeling as the treatment was being done. The giver might have been feeling heat in their hands while the receiver felt those same hands being cooler. Or vice versa. How "cool" is that?
Each person described how they were being signaled to change positions while doing their Reiki treatment. One said their hands cooled, one said they heard a voice say "move" and the other just knew to move along. Such different sensations for the same purpose. But that is the way with both energy and Spirit; we all experience different things.
It is wonderful to have 3 new Reiki practitioners in our midst. I can't wait to see what they do with it - practice it with other people or just keep it for themselves. It's all good!
